My view on change:

“Sometimes I think we make things more dire then they seem … It isn’t necessarily a question of being fixed or becoming whole or being dramatically changed. It doesn’t have to be about what’s missing either. Insight begins first by rediscovering who you are at the core, remembering who you are, believing in who you are, and constantly practicing who you are.”

What is Insight Life Coach Partnership’s coaching all about?

Do these conversations sound familiar?

•“If I could afford it, if I won the lottery, then I would quit this job … and just spend my time painting. …

•“I’ve always wanted to be a doctor, it was my dream. But I’m 44 now, I can’t possible compete with all those younger students … “I’ve always wanted a family, but I waited too long. It’s too late …!”

•“I didn’t always sell insurance; nope … I used to be a musician. … But then I got real. I knew I would never make it ..."

We (www.insightlifecoaches.com) offer life coaching to individuals who want greater success or satisfaction in various areas of their life. We do this by coaching through the Seven Domains of Success. Our clients who report living a more purposeful life and greater results, who are experiencing greater satisfaction and joy, and who have developed a greater tolerance to risk and uncertainty, have mitigated the Seven Domains of Success in the following manner:

1. Insight: They understand what they really want. Not what others tell them.

2. Awareness: They have REAL awareness and acceptance of their fears. And they don’t fall victim to their fears. They don't avoid them either. They don’t blame, share, or make excuses. They understand how fear can be used to move forward and not stay stuck.

3. Accountability: They are responsible and accountable for their actions and results. They shift away from victim hood AND avoid starting thoughts and statements with … “If only … Because of … Yeah but … I should have."

4. Possibilities: When things ARE NOT going their way, they always see new possibilities to get around challenges or blocks. When things are going their way, they are always looking for more possibilities to get around challenges or blocks.

5. Vision: Their vision serves as a general guiding principal that that involves their passion or competency.

6. Committed Action: They are committed to action, goals, objectives, tasks aligned with their vision.

7) Practice: They know that in order to maintain new habits, trends, and action, they must constantly practice “being” and “doing” until it becomes automatic.

PURDUE KEYS AGAINST UCONN

While UConn has been playing lights out in its last two games, feasting against a 16th and 8th seed, here is why I think Purdue has a decent shot at pulling out the upset ... it depends on match ups, defensive “trickeration”, offensive tempo and, again, hitting threes and open shots. Remember, Michigan played UConn exceptionally well at UConn because it did three key things:

1) Michigan players hit their outside shots
2) They set tempo, and
3) Michigan neutralized UConn's interior strength with… Continue

Strategic Emotional Intelligence as driver for success, achievement and growth

Biznik-Business Networking

Fellow Biznik member Russell Cox recently asked me how I would describe myself as a business leader.

I paused to think of an answer. But then I thought, "what would set a business leader apart from the rest?"

Then it occured to me.

Emotional Intelligence as the primary driver for strategic growth.

I… Continue

Change: Pushed Towards Change or Nurtured Towards Change?

Biznik-Business Networking

Which works best? A boss, manager, supervisor or even a coach - who pushes, makes you feel uncomfortable, yells at you ... OR the boss, manager, supervisor who is patient, calm, creates a comfortable, trusting, and safe relationship?

In college basketball, Coach Bob Knight was often criticized for his w… Continue

Acceptance: Key To Happiness AND In The Business of Change

Biznik-Business Networking

Why is acceptance so important for people to be happy? Why is it absolutely critical in the business of change?

I guess to try to answer the question, I need to ask another question: How many times have we said, "my life isn't working" or "something has to change" or "I'm just not happy?"

Probably a fe… Continue
